It is estimated that 160,000 children miss school every day due to fear of attack or pressure by other students. Bullying is a still a very big problem these days, with increasing growth of the internet and internet-connected electronics; it seems to be only getting worse. One can now be bullied, virtually everywhere! Such as social networking sites, email, school, and cell phones.

According to Louis Gordon and his article titled “The bullying Culture”, found on page A13 of the Wall Street Journal, published on the first of July, 2013, he states that about 77 percent of students have admitted to being the victim of one type of bullying or another.

Bullying is becoming more and more frequent among today's youth in locations like school and online.

There are 5 main forms of bullying today: Physical bullying, Emotional Bullying, Sexual bullying, Cyber bullying, and Racial bullying. Each and every form of bullying is harmful to the one being bullied, and in many cases these CAN lead to suicide. Physical bullying can be anything from a small push to a potentially deadly punch to the face. However, it doesn't necessarily have to be physical in order to be called physical bullying, It can also be something such as breaking into your belongings, or even making threatening signs. Physical bullying occurs most often at school and it is more likely to occur among males. It is more common among males because they are the ones who want to gain more control over the other. This type of bullying is probably the most known form of bullying, and has been around the longest. It is also said to be that this is the most dangerous form of bullying.

Emotional bullying is probably the second biggest form of bullying nowadays, it is often very similar to Cyber bullying. The real difference between the two is that Emotional bullying is more verbal and you're face to face with the bully. Emotional bullying is the act of attacking someone’s feelings and the relationships they have with other people. Examples of this type of bullying are name-calling and verbal abuse. All of these are very damaging emotionally, usually not physically. This form of bullying will usually lead an individual(s) to harming themselves, and may occasionally end in suicide. Females are more likely to use this form of bullying.
